Interpreting hybrid events in Canada<\/h2>\n

The 2023 Global Innovation Coop Summit<\/strong> is a hybrid event<\/a> held in Montreal<\/strong>, involving both face-to-face and online participants. In order to reduce costs and the environmental impact, ColinguaRSI’s interpreters remained online, on Zoom<\/strong><\/a>, to provide simultaneous interpretation in English and French<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The 2023 Global Cooperative Innovation Summit 2023 is an event taking place in Montreal, Canada, from September 27 to 29, 2023. It was organized with the support of the Quebec authorities<\/strong> and the International Cooperative Alliance to promote innovation in the cooperative movement.<\/p>\n

This hybrid event with online interpretation<\/strong> was simultaneously translated into French and English<\/strong> to facilitate communication. Online participants were able to log on to Zoom. The interpreters were also on Zoom<\/strong>, while several hundred people were present at HEC Montr\u00e9al and could listen to our interpreters via headset receivers in the room<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The summit brought together leaders of cooperatives and mutuals from around the world, as well as representatives from government, academia and civil society. It offered a varied program of conferences, workshops, round tables and B2B meetings. The summit was a major success, helping to reinforce the position of cooperatives as a positive force for change in the world.<\/p>\n
