Interpreters for European programmes like URBACT
In a few words
In order to be more inclusive and facilitate participation by as many people as possible, the City of Liège, a partner in the European Urbact – Weldi project, called on the services of our interpreters company specialized in online interpreting to translate its online meetings with its European partners into English and French.
The event
URBACT is a European exchange program for sustainable urban development. It is within this framework that the Weldi project is organized, focusing in particular on the local action needed to safeguard human rights and guarantee a right to the city for all residents, regardless of their nationality or residency status.
Given the wide diversity of stakeholders (Albacete – ES, Cluj Napoca – RO, Fundão – PT, Lampedusa – IT, Liège – BE, Osijek – HR, Département Seine-Saint-Denis – FR, Sosnowiec – PL, Timișoara – RO and Utrecht NL), online interpretation was required to facilitate communication between members. Our company provided simultaneous translation and set up the Zoom session with interpretation channels.
About our online interpreting agency
ColinguaRSI is a spin-off of the translation company Colingua, based in Brussels and Liège. As Colingua is a reference for translators and interpreters in Liège, the local authorities naturally turned to our agency for interpreters specialized in videoconferencing and online events.
ColinguaRSI was founded in 2020 to meet multilingual communication needs during the pandemic, our mission being to offer quality interpreting services on platforms such as Zoom or Cisco Webex.
Our online interpreting agency offers services in the majority of European languages, including English, French, Dutch, Spanish… But also in more exotic languages such as Arabic or Chinese. Whether it’s an international conference or a “small business meeting”, our interpreters will help you communicate smoothly and efficiently in several languages, wherever in the world your partners may be.
In Weldi’s case, our interpreters’ knowledge of the city of Liège and its context and their extensive experience in projects financed by the European Union were a real plus for the organizers: our team regularly translates for migration stakeholders such as Enabel (Belgian development agency) and the IOM (International Organization for Migration).
About WELDI

As part of this universal objective, WELDI focuses on migrants whose rights are specifically threatened. WELDI explores the potential synergies when newcomers are supported in a way that also benefits the host society.
